Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of the risk and control framework for digital assets, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the delivery team to embed a “control by design” approach.
- Influencing senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product and Delivery Labs to integrate controls into strategic initiatives.
- Design and execute high-quality risk assessments, compliance testing and gap analysis to monitor adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies.
- Prepare governance papers and reporting for internal and external audiences.
- Monitor emerging risks and regulatory developments in the digital assets space, translating them into actionable control enhancements.
- Support assurance activities including audits, attestations, and control testing, ensuring timely remediation of issues.
- Champion automation and data-driven approaches to control monitoring and reporting.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of digital asset products and services, including tokenisation, stablecoins, custody, CBDCs, and Distributed Ledger technologies
- Ability to assess wider risks and controls around digital assets, including technology, supplier, fraud, AML, and automated controls.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital assets.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
- Experience with control tooling, automation, and data analytics for risk and control monitoring.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset.
