About the role

  • Test Engineer responsible for ensuring software quality for child care management solutions. Working within a collaborative team to enhance testing strategies and product performance.

Responsibilities

  • You develop and optimize test processes, methods and tools and apply them yourself in day-to-day work.
  • You independently perform manual and automated tests, create test cases and document test results.
  • You develop and maintain test automation solutions and contribute new ideas to further increase our test coverage.
  • You plan and coordinate testing activities and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • You ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards and exceed our customers' requirements.
  • You act as the central contact for testing-related questions and work closely with development, product management and quality management.
  • You share your knowledge with colleagues, establish best practices and promote continuous improvement.
  • You prepare test reports and metrics to make test progress and product quality transparent.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in software testing, ideally with a focus on hands-on testing and test automation.
  • Solid knowledge of various testing methods (e.g. agile testing approaches, exploratory testing, regression testing) and testing levels (unit, integration, system, acceptance).
  • Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining test automation (e.g. with Cypress, Playwright or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills to act as a bridge between teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented work style.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification.
