About the role

• AI Software Developer creating robust AI systems that understand, decide and act for business processes at Listan GmbH, focusing on LLM/Agent solutions and Amazon integrations.

Responsibilities

• You will develop AI systems that understand, decide, and act on business processes.
• Focus on robust LLM/Agent solutions that process content, retrieve knowledge, and trigger controlled actions.
• End-to-end development of production-ready AI features: backend services, orchestration, and clean APIs.
• Knowledge retrieval (RAG): document ingestion, indexing (embeddings/vector index), retrieval/reranking.
• Solutions within the Amazon environment: listing quality, search engine optimization, keyword management, competitor/price monitoring, KPI monitoring & anomaly alerts.
• System & API integration: building robust interfaces to internal and external data sources.
• Ensure security & traceability for agents: guardrails, role/permission models, and audit logs.

Requirements

• Several years of software engineering experience (backend focus) and product experience with AI/LLM applications.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python and TypeScript (Node.js).
• LLM/Agent engineering experience with tool-calling, cost and rate-limit management, and evaluations (OpenAI experience is a plus).
• RAG & knowledge retrieval: vector databases, embeddings, indexing/chunking, and retrieval tuning (e.g., ranking/reranking).
• Familiarity with the Amazon ecosystem (SP-API, Buy Box) and topics such as listing quality, SEO, and keyword management.
• Proficiency in testing & delivery: modern test frameworks, CI/CD, Docker; cloud experience as well as logging/metrics/tracing.
• Nice to have: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Amazon SP-API, time-series/forecasting, OCR/NLP, web scraping/automation.
• Languages: German B2 and English B2.
