About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing engineering projects and ensuring viable product market delivery for Liebherr-Mining Equipment. Defining project resources and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define the project based on the requirements previously identified by Product Management
  • Verify and monitor project feasibility in terms of performance, quality, deadlines and costs
  • Determine necessary resources and estimate required time
  • Develop the project plan
  • Work closely with the technical lead(s) / Project Owner(s) who are responsible for technical decisions
  • Manage the project with an overall view, encourage and organize collaboration between different departments
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide reporting to the decision-makers
  • Anticipate risks and critical issues, conduct periodic reviews to validate milestones, check progress, resolve problems, reassess necessary changes, and make or enforce decisions

Requirements

  • Fluent English; German is a plus
  • Interest in traditional engineering (hydraulics, electrical engineering, digital and technological products, mechanical engineering)
  • Minimum 10 years' proven experience in a product development environment, including at least 5 years in a cross-functional role
  • Experience facilitating multidisciplinary meetings
  • Team player
  • Proactive and solution-oriented
  • Diplomatic
