About the role

  • Project Manager managing technology projects and leading teams in a hybrid work environment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives in the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the focal point and liaison with other departments.
  • Apply best practices from predictive (traditional) and adaptive (agile) project management as described in PMBOK (PMI), including the Scrum framework, Kanban and other common agile practices; combine these approaches as appropriate.
  • Manage technology projects from conception through closure:
  • Lead project planning and develop the project plan; continuously evolve the plan based on collaboration and input from the involved teams.
  • Build, compare and defend scenarios, presenting alternative solutions, costs, schedules and associated benefits.
  • Lead project preparation for kickoff meetings, steering committee sessions and project closure.
  • Schedule and lead kickoff, status-report and project closure meetings.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies at the team level (Retrospective, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement).
  • Monitor project performance: collect and record the physical progress of activities against the schedule.
  • Plan project activities and communicate tasks and deliverables to leaders and the team.
  • Track project expenditures and compare them against the agreed plan (cost baseline).
  • Identify and document project risks, establish mitigation plans and monitor response actions.
  • Prepare periodic executive project status reports and ensure stakeholders are informed.
  • Manage conflicts and resolve challenges in multidisciplinary projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience with work organization tools (Trello, Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, etc.).
  • Experience managing projects aligned with PMBOK best practices.
  • Experience working with agile teams.
  • Experience leading hybrid projects, applying agile best practices and supplementing with predictive methods for stakeholder communication, procurement, cost management and risk.
  • Formal project management training (preferred).
  • Agile certification (Scrum Master) (preferred).
  • Experience with MS Project and Jira (preferred).
