About the role

Responsibilities

  • Apply, identify, and implement improvements in RAMS, ILS, and Integrated Product Support (IPS) within product development or engineering
  • Work on the development of Industry 4.0 systems, autonomous driving functions, or other connected systems
  • Shape innovations and technology development in our customers' product development by leveraging IPS engineering expertise and business acumen
  • Actively influence the transformation of current technical products and processes into product-and-service combinations in a connected world
  • Analyze and improve customers' system lifecycles and plan and implement solutions together within the project team
  • Advise and support the integration of expanding AI, increasing software scope, and sustainability requirements into products and the growing connectivity of the ecosystem
  • Provide pragmatic, hands-on support during the transformation to modern ways of working
  • Develop and deliver customer-tailored trainings and workshops as part of capability building
  • Enable and manage the integration of product lifecycle requirements into the product development process by designing processes and methods
  • Assume overall operational leadership and further development of a branch with profit-and-loss responsibility
  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership of employees and manage personnel development
  • Ensure quality standards and prepare proposals and cost estimates
  • Actively maintain and expand customer relationships

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
  • At least 5 years of practical and project leadership experience in industry or consulting
  • Experience in preparing maintenance analyses, lifecycle cost assessments, and reliability studies
  • Familiarity with analyses and implementation of product support dependencies within development
  • Strong understanding of the overall product development process
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and a confident presence when interacting with customers and suppliers
  • Innovative drive and a strong service mentality for solution-oriented and proactive thinking and acting in the interest of our customers
  • Proficient with modern collaboration IT systems and possessing strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering and MBSE approaches in the context of INCOSE
  • Good commercial/business understanding and self-motivation to quickly learn new topics and pursue continuous learning
  • Willingness to undertake regular multi-day domestic and international business travel
  • Very good German and good English language skills
  • Class B driver’s license
