About the role

  • Manager of Transmission Line Engineering leading a team on high voltage electric transmission projects. Overseeing design and ensuring compliance with industry standards in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a collaborative and dynamic team in transmission line design projects
  • Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC, and other applicable standards
  • Perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans, and specifications
  • Prepare material procurement and construction documents
  • Work alongside project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams
  • Develop an engineering team with direct report responsibilities
  • Manage client relations, proposal development, scope creation, and project management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Twelve plus (12+) years of relevant experience in the design of high voltage electric utility transmission systems
  • Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent
  • Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE and/or FAD, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Five plus (5+) years of supervising staff (favorable if you have)
  • M.S. degree in Structural Engineering (favorable if you have)
