About the role
- Manager of Transmission Line Engineering leading a team on high voltage electric transmission projects. Overseeing design and ensuring compliance with industry standards in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a collaborative and dynamic team in transmission line design projects
- Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC, and other applicable standards
- Perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans, and specifications
- Prepare material procurement and construction documents
- Work alongside project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams
- Develop an engineering team with direct report responsibilities
- Manage client relations, proposal development, scope creation, and project management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering
- Twelve plus (12+) years of relevant experience in the design of high voltage electric utility transmission systems
- Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent
- Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE and/or FAD, and Microsoft Office suite
- Five plus (5+) years of supervising staff (favorable if you have)
- M.S. degree in Structural Engineering (favorable if you have)
