About the role

  • Project Manager leading electric utility projects at Leidos, collaborating across diverse teams. Managing project execution and client communications for electric utility clients nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electric utility project execution teams with diverse contributors
  • Take ownership of overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management
  • Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks
  • Mentor and develop project management staff
  • Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes
  • Identify business development opportunities to support organizational growth
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standards
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders
  • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field
  • A minimum of 3+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry
  • Demonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities
  • Direct experience working with electric power infrastructure projects
  • Supervisory experience including team building and talent acquisition
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team development
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel periodically as required
  • Proficiency utilizing MS Project suite with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel
