About the role
- Industrial Security Representative supporting background investigations for a behavioral health program at Leidos. Responsible for comprehensive security oversight and compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for interpreting and reviewing the Security Policy from the government customer
- Develop, administer, and audit the security program for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of information
- Develop, implement, and maintain Security Metric Reports for analysis
- Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems
- Perform in individual and team roles, supporting all contractual security requirements for the program
- Assist candidates through the entire public trust vetting process to include coordinating fingerprinting
- Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff
- Reviews all required paperwork and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to the government for processing
- Maintain the internal security database
- Review and interpret DD254s as well as the flow down of sub DD254s
Requirements
- Requires DOD Secret Clearance
- MUST possess practical knowledge of and experience with DISS
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant course of study, eg, Business, Security, Criminology, Psychology, and 4-8 years of experience with public trust requirements and processing, or a Master's with 2-6 years’ experience with public trust requirements and processing
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to enter data efficiently, timely, and correctly to meet deadlines
- Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experienced in working in a dynamic work environment, supporting several tasks at once, with potential for short deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential
- Possess outstanding customer service skills and the ability to deal with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
