About the role
- Agile Coach leading and facilitating Agile software development for government clients at Leidos. Coordinating continuous improvement and supporting agile maturity across diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Agile effort, helping accelerate program completions by acting as Agile shepherd for program
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Coordinate Program Increment (PI) planning activities and support cross team collaboration within a SAFe Agile Release Train
- Remove impediments and help teams resolve issues that impact delivery timelines or quality
- Guide teams in applying Agile and Lean principles to improve efficiency, transparency, and delivery outcomes
- Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on agile practices and mindset adoption
- Track team progress using agile metrics and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and program leadership through Scrum of Scrums and related forums
- Support backlog management and ensure user stories are properly refined and ready for development
- Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, communities of practice, and agile maturity assessments
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages ownership, accountability, and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience in software development or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
- 2+ years relevant experience supporting Agile software development programs
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator within a software development environment
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance or program equivalent
