About the role
- Senior Lawyer advising clients on credit operations and regulatory compliance in financial markets. Joining a diverse team at Lefosse to deliver high-level legal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients acting as lenders, borrowers or guarantors on credit transactions, structuring of guarantees and complex financings, both domestic and cross-border;
- Provide legal advice on regulatory matters related to financial market and capital markets legislation, with a focus on Central Bank of Brazil regulation. Topics include, among others, foreign exchange and international capital regulations, regulation of financial institutions, payment institutions, financial market infrastructures, virtual assets and VASPs, asset tokenization, derivatives transactions, the Basel ratio and capital requirements;
- Support clients in authorization procedures before the Central Bank of Brazil, including authorizations for changes of control, corporate reorganizations, election/appointment of directors, among others;
- Coordinate teams and multidisciplinary projects, ensuring technical quality and adherence to deadlines;
- Monitor regulatory and legislative trends, contributing strategic insights to clients and to the development of the practice.
Requirements
- Law degree;
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
- Experience with local and cross-border debt financing transactions and knowledge of debt structuring in the capital markets;
- Experience with regulation of the Central Bank of Brazil;
- Fluent English;
- Availability to work in a hybrid model at Itaim Bibi, São Paulo.
