About the role

  • Controller managing financial resources and supporting management at Lebenshilfe Bonn. Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, and strategic project support.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and monitoring of various budgets, forecasts and financial plans
  • Analysis of variances between planned and actual results and derivation of appropriate measures
  • Further development and maintenance of reporting systems as well as cost center and cost unit accounting
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management and department heads
  • Calculation/costing of quotations and projects within the business units
  • Preparation and conduct of fee negotiations with funding agencies and payers
  • Participation in the development and implementation of strategic corporate objectives
  • Financial oversight and support for major projects (e.g., new construction, digitalization, personnel development)

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, controlling, financial management or completed commercial vocational training with further qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in the social or non-profit sector
  • Solid knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and grant/funding management
  • Experience with controlling tools and ERP systems (e.g., Vivendi, DATEV)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • High level of personal responsibility and a structured working style
  • Sensitivity to the specific characteristics of social organizations
  • Interest in social impact measurement and sustainability controlling
