About the role
- Career & Pathways Counsellor guiding secondary learners in their journey to higher education. Empowering students to identify pathways for success through personalized coaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead a holistic career & university guidance program for secondary aged learners
- Support learners in identifying strengths, interests, values, and aspirations
- Guide students through application processes for international universities and systems
- Find, implement and use platforms for passion and talent identification
- Act as a learning guide and life coach
- Support learners in managing stress, deadlines, and transitions
- Work closely with Learning Guides, leadership and families
- Serve as a key point of contact for families in the university process
- Track graduation requirements and provide additional support to ensure learners graduate in a timely manner
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in college counseling, university guidance, secondary education leadership or international student support
- Strong knowledge of international university systems and admissions processes (especially Europe, UK, US)
- Full professional proficiency in English is required
- Spanish and/or Catalan are a strong plus
- Highly organized, able to manage complex timelines, multiple applications, and detailed documentation
- You are tech-savvy with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Information Systems, and you effectively integrate automation and AI into your workflows.
