About the role
- IT-Security & Resilience Chief Engineer focusing on SIEM at LBBW, leading complex security projects and enhancing IT security architecture across the bank.
Responsibilities
- Group-wide development and management of IT security with a focus on SIEM for LBBW
- Group-wide support for IT changes (projects and transformations) with emphasis on security architecture and driving standardized and scalable security solutions while complying with regulatory and operational requirements, including internationally
- Leadership and coordination of (global) IT security projects of high complexity and support for change initiatives with a focus on strategic foresight
- Management of service providers for critical outsourced IT security functions
- Contribution of deep specialist knowledge in core IT security topics and active shaping of cross-functional structures as well as participation in strategic committees
- Creating cross-functional transparency and preparing decision-ready materials for management – focusing on feasibility, governance capability and international requirements
- Acting as a respected point of contact and trusted advisor for operational IT security up to top management level and providing technical or methodological coaching, and potentially technical leadership of a team with homogeneous responsibilities
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT Security or a comparable qualification or equivalent further training
- More than seven years of relevant professional experience with SIEM systems and processes
- Outstanding expertise in operational IT security, combined with strategic management skills and solid regulatory knowledge
- Extensive proven experience in leading complex security projects, outsourcing processes and large-scale transformations with high external impact
- Leadership skills at a technical level through coaching, ability to provide strategic sparring and to act as an initiator for the team
- Identifying and meeting internal customer needs while considering all requirements
- Independent assessment of complex issues and solution-oriented handling using appropriate methods, also in overarching contexts
- Language proficiency: German C1, English B2/C1
- Excellent presentation and moderation skills
- Audience-appropriate argumentation and assertiveness up to management level
