About the role

  • Lead and manage a team of looked-after and leaving care case-holding practitioners
  • Support young people aged 16 - 25 who are looked-after or leaving the care of the London Borough of Barnet
  • Collaborate with an enthusiastic management team and workforce development programme

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and polices in relation to looked-after children and leaving care
  • Ability to articulate a developed sense of the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
  • Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to influence professionals to achieve the very best outcomes for care experienced young people
  • Experience of working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to achieve their best outcomes
