About the role

  • Immigration Paralegal supporting attorneys with immigration petitions and legal documents. Conducting research and client communications in a collaborative law firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of immigration petitions, applications, and legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on the latest immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Prepare and compile supporting documents for various immigration cases, including family-based, employment-based, and humanitarian visas
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide case updates, and address any concerns
  • Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible
  • Draft legal correspondence and forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards
  • Coordinate and schedule client interviews, hearings, and appointments with USCIS and other immigration agencies
  • Monitor case status and deadlines, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation
  • Assist in preparing clients for interviews and hearings, providing them with guidance and support
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and achieve positive outcomes for clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a related legal field
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and forms
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual skills (especially in Spanish) are a plus
