Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of immigration petitions, applications, and legal documents
Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on the latest immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
Prepare and compile supporting documents for various immigration cases, including family-based, employment-based, and humanitarian visas
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide case updates, and address any concerns
Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible
Draft legal correspondence and forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards
Coordinate and schedule client interviews, hearings, and appointments with USCIS and other immigration agencies
Monitor case status and deadlines, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation
Assist in preparing clients for interviews and hearings, providing them with guidance and support
Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and achieve positive outcomes for clients
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a related legal field
Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and forms
Proficiency in legal research and writing
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
Bilingual skills (especially in Spanish) are a plus
