About the role

  • Proficiency in Process Engineering design
  • Work effectively alone or in multi-discipline project team environment for the oil and gas and renewable energy industries
  • Strong debottlenecking and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledgeable in Regulatory requirements /compliance and Industry Codes and Standards such as: ABSA , ANSI, and API
  • Be the Engineer of Record when required
  • Conceptual Studies, pre-FEED and FEED studies (FEL1, FEL2, and FEL3)
  • Block Flow Diagrams (BFD), Process Design Basis (PDB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Heat & Material Balances (HMB), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), LDTs (Line Designation Tables), Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), Shutdown Keys, Process Control Narrative
  • As-Built existing facilities
  • Lead or participate in PHAs, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPA
  • Communicate well with team members and clients
  • Manage project workload and performance (self and others if required)
  • Guide and mentor engineers, providing technical support and fostering their professional growth in engineering principles and practices.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or equal
  • P.Eng. designation in Alberta, other jurisdictions are beneficial
  • 10-15 years of Process Engineering experience
  • Experience in the following areas: Oil and gas production facilities, Compression facilities, Gathering Systems, Pipeline facilities, Fractionation Plants, Turbo-Expander Cryogenic Plants, Dehydration Units, Waste Heat Recovery, Renewable Energy Processes, and Loading Terminals
  • Proficient in Process simulation software such as HYSYS and Symmetry or equal
