About the role

  • Procurement Associate at L3Harris managing supplier relationships and executing negotiations. Ensures compliance with corporate policies while maintaining quality and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strategic alliances and partnerships established by the Purchasing organization
  • Perform negotiations, price analysis and order justifications
  • Execute order fulfillment process to ensure suppliers’ quality and delivery meet performance metrics
  • Conduct conference calls and establish strong lines of communications with assigned vendors
  • Escalate issues to management and recommend a course of action
  • Ensure procurements are in compliance with corporate policies
  • Assess supplier competency for service or manufacturing
  • Procure and manage assigned commodities
  • Create PO packages with required documentation
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and the supplier selection process
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
  • Manage supplier relationships and assist in developing supplier base strategies
  • Resolve supplier base problems
  • Assist with Marketing requests
  • Control and manage inventory integrity
  • Seek out new suppliers and processes
  • Maintain documentation control in compliance with FAR regulations

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain or completed within the last 12 months
  • Experience in purchasing in an MRP (ERP) driven manufacturing environment preferred
  • Negotiation and contract experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of engineering documentation
  • Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a digital/remote environment
  • Experience in government / FAR buying environment is strongly preferred
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
