About the role
- Lead the warehouse team in Klingenberg for KYOCERA AVX Components. Manage logistics and ensure compliance with regulations in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct managerial, technical and organizational leadership of warehouse staff
- Organization and control of material stocking and shipping processes, including preparation of shipping documents
- Ensuring optimal utilization of warehouse capacities, taking into account technical resources (e.g., inventory management)
- Monitoring compliance with load securing regulations and overseeing dangerous goods transports
- Communication and liaison with suppliers and customers
- Preparation of warehouse KPIs and reporting them to logistics management
- Conducting performance evaluations and employee appraisals
Requirements
- Completed vocational training and further qualification as a Logistics Master (Logistikmeister) or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in warehouse logistics and ideally initial leadership experience
- Additional qualification: ADR certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
- Solid knowledge of customs and shipping regulations
- IT experience with MS Office and ideally with SAP
- Good written and spoken English
