About the role

  • Infrastructure Specialist for AWS managing technology systems and contributing to IT operational execution at Kyndryl. Collaborating on projects to analyze problems and provide solutions in a flexible and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and manage incident cases within AWS
  • Conduct minor version upgrades via the AWS Management Console
  • Administer IAM users, roles, policies, and privileged/non-privileged IDs
  • Configure EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, Security Groups, and NACLs
  • Update Route53 DNS, CloudFront, WAF, ACM, ELB, and KMS
  • Manage AWS resource tags, oversee backups/restores, and establish CloudWatch rules
  • Investigate AWS notifications and determine appropriate responses
  • Maintain operating system and software configurations
  • Manage vendor support communications
  • Administer SSH key passphrases and API keys
  • Execute tasks in alignment with standard operating procedures
  • Adjust OS settings for Windows virtual servers
  • Collaborate with vendors regarding OS/software support matters
  • Monitor performance and capacity using CloudWatch, M&EaaS, and JP1/IM
  • Conduct trend analysis and extract relevant data
  • Execute recovery processes and document incident resolutions
  • Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and project team members in Japanese

Requirements

  • At least 6+ years in AWS environment management
  • Experience with JAPAN customer would be preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture with experience with AWS and Azure is a bonus
  • Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
