About the role

Responsibilities
- Disciplinary and technical leadership of the Backend & Cloud Services function, with two team leads and a total of approximately 28 employees
- Ensuring the availability, security and performance of all backend systems, and optimizing work methods and processes
- Responsibility for the highly available operation and further development of the central IT backend, i.e. servers, storage, virtualization, OS provisioning, PKIs, cloud deployments
- Ensuring change, incident and configuration management processes and the continuous improvement of agile working methods
- Preparation and adherence to budget and resource planning for the function
Requirements
- University degree or vocational training in business informatics, computer science or a comparable qualification
- Relevant experience in a leadership role in infrastructure delivery
- Solid knowledge of IT infrastructures, security and technology trends
- Business-minded and entrepreneurial approach with responsible use of resources
- Ability to develop and implement infrastructure strategies to support corporate objectives
- Knowledge of current security concepts and standards such as ISO27001, Common Criteria, IT-Grundschutz (IT baseline protection) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an advantage
- Facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong communication skills in German (minimum C1 level) and English (B1 level)
