About the role

  • Software Developer in additive manufacturing for KraussMaffei, a leader in plastic processing technology. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining software for machine control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Specification, development, maintenance and documentation of software modules for machine control in the field of additive systems
  • Handling and leading innovative development projects in measurement, control and regulation technology
  • Contributing to the software architecture in the PLC environment with a solid understanding of modularization
  • Leading the commissioning of machines and prototypes
  • Coordinating and prioritizing development tasks to implement the software roadmap efficiently
  • Interface management between software development, project management and adjacent departments

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, Technical Computer Science, or an IT-related vocational qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of network technology (Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA)
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing is an advantage
  • Several years of professional experience in machine tools, CNC technology, automation engineering, control technology (Siemens Sinumerik One) and PLC programming in TIA Portal
  • Experience with other PLC systems desirable, in particular PLC programming with Lasal Class
  • Know‑how in general computer science and relevant professional experience in programming machine controllers
  • Independent working style, resilience and a confident manner
  • Solid understanding of modularization and architecture in the PLC environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
  • Business‑fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to undertake occasional worldwide business travel
