Responsibilities
Lead and deliver internal audit engagements, ensuring quality and insight at every stage.
Manage risk and assurance projects across multiple sectors, from scoping to reporting.
Analyse processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.
Provide practical recommendations that enhance governance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with technical experts to design fit-for-purpose solutions.
Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Requirements
Knowledge of financial processes and finance functions.
Experience in internal audit and/or project auditing or transformation activities.
Familiarity with Microsoft financial management systems (e.g., Business Central).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A track record of coaching and developing others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
Professional services experience and knowledge of the Canterbury market (a plus!).
