About the role

• Infrastructure Specialist supporting and developing IT infrastructure for Konica Minolta's operations. Key responsibilities include server management, networking, and user support in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve core infrastructure including Active Directory, VMware virtualisation, Windows Server environments, and Microsoft 365.
• Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure such as switches, firewalls, VLANs, and wireless systems.
• Administer hosted and cloud-based solutions, ensuring they align with business and technical requirements.
• Support and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure operational resilience.
• Deliver technical support across network environments, including WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, remote management, and security.
• Implement and support remote access solutions such as VPN and Terminal Services.
• Monitor system alerts and notifications, responding promptly through established service ticket processes.
• Provide escalation support for complex technical issues raised by the service desk.
• Maintain and regularly update system documentation.
• Participate in change management processes and contribute to infrastructure projects.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, keeping them informed of incident progress, changes, or planned outages.
• Pursue relevant industry certifications as part of ongoing professional development.
• Assist in fulfilling security and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• ***Required Experience and Skills***
• You should have around 3–5 years of experience in an infrastructure or systems administration role. We're looking for demonstrated ability in the following areas:
• Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022), including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, including managing ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machine lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, particularly Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), and related security features.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching concepts.
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network equipment including firewalls.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions and storage technologies (SAN/NAS).
• Understanding of ITIL principles for incident, problem, and change management.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative in planning and prioritising work.
• ***Desirable***
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as SCCM or Intune.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or Azure IaaS.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001).
• Experience with enterprise antivirus, EDR, or SIEM solutions.
• ***Certifications***
• Formal qualifications aren't essential, but relevant certifications would be advantageous. These might include Microsoft certifications (such as AZ-104, AZ-800/801, or MS-102), VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, or CompTIA Network+ and Security+.
