Lift Tester for KONE conducting tests and inspections of lift units across the North East. Collaborating with site personnel and reporting to supervisors while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Test lift units in accordance with the relevant test documents and KONE standard interpretation of EN81
Test lifts within timescales set
Commission equipment following agreed specifications and commissioning instructions
Conduct technical assessments, identify faults, and record abnormalities for corrective action
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Carry out final inspection and sign the Final inspection document
Liaise with relevant site personnel to ascertain state of lift
Manage on-site communication with the customer for day-to-day testing and commissioning activities with a continuous coordination with Supervisor
Participate in meetings and workgroups related to quality and technical matters
Ensure lift well security (safe for other trades and public etc) and safety of all persons involved in the installation activities during commissioning and testing of the lift
Report lift condition and progress to the Supervisor responsible for site activities
Requirements
NVQ4 in Lift engineering or equivalent qualification
Willingness to complete the NVQ4 Mods module if not already achieved
Previous experience as a Lift Tester is desirable
Good computer literacy
Good written and spoken English
Clear UK driving licence
