About the role
- SAP Data Engineer designing and maintaining data pipelines using SAP technologies for Körber Group. Collaborating with Data Architects and ensuring data governance and quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using SAP technologies (SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Core Data Services, SAP Datasphere).
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business SMEs to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across SAP and integrated systems.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance data architecture and automation.
- Provide technical expertise during SAP transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Maintain clear documentation and promote best practices in data engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA modeling, and/or SAP Datasphere development and implementation.
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT design, and integration technologies (APIs, OData, CDS Views).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and data security.
- Skilled in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, dimensional models).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; fluent in English (German is a plus).
