About the role
- Lead the outpatient and consultation management at AGAPLESION BETHESDA Krankenhaus Hamburg, overseeing processes and team coordination for optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and development of outpatient clinic and consultation operations
- You keep our consultation services running at full speed: appointment scheduling, patient flow, team coordination — everything runs smoothly thanks to you.
- You lead and schedule the consultation team and ensure everyone is in the right place at the right time.
- You optimize processes, further develop structures, and continually find ways to improve patient care.
- Redesign and implementation of outpatient care pathways
- Development, implementation and optimization of patient and care pathways (outpatient, hybrid, ambulatory operations/AOP)
- Management of patient flow with a focus on quality, efficiency and resource utilization
- Professional appointment and capacity management in close coordination with the involved clinical departments
- Innovation & project management
- Participation in strategic projects to increase efficiency, digitize processes and optimize services
- Development of innovative concepts for new outpatient care models
- Interface management
- You work in close coordination with hospital management.
- You act as the interface between patients, physicians, the team and hospital management
Requirements
- Leadership experience in practice management, medical care centers (MVZ), outpatient clinics or ambulatory surgery centers
- Solid experience organizing consultation services and leading teams
- Organizational talent, sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
- Empathy and strong communication skills — you know how to interact with patients, colleagues and physicians
- Experience in billing control (EBM, GOÄ) and the ability to further develop processes to optimize billing
- Ideally knowledge of ASV (specialized outpatient care) and KV authorization, or willingness to further qualify
- Willingness to take responsibility — and remain calm and maintain an overview even in challenging situations
- Analytical aptitude for processes, numbers and people
- Enjoy improving structures and actively implementing ideas
