About the role
- Java Full Stack Developer developing web and Cloud-Native applications for KION Group IT. Collaborating with teams for continuous improvement and following quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Development of features for complex web applications and cloud-native components
- Implementation of tests, bug fixing and performance analysis
- Application of modern software patterns and development paradigms
- Refinement and effort estimation of user stories in coordination with Product Owners
- Documentation of software components according to current standards
- Support our architects in building reliable and robust systems in line with KION standards
- Analysis and troubleshooting in complex production system environments
- Operational support of the applications and services under your responsibility
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent vocational training, e.g., IT specialist in application development
- Open and strong communication skills
- Team-oriented and comfortable working in a diverse, distributed team
- Languages: English (fluent for team communication); German advantageous
- Initial knowledge and experience with Java 17+
- Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Web, Spring Cloud
- Relational databases (SQL: Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- GitHub for version control
- Nice to have: Frontend experience with Angular
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (technologies, components, CLI, security, scaling)
- Knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes/Helm, Docker, Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), message queues (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs)
