App Product Manager responsible for mobile user experience in Africa for KingMakers. Leading product strategy and optimization for native apps in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Mobile Apps vision and strategy for the African market.
Optimization of the customer lifecycle within the app (acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, monetization) together with other teams.
The product roadmap aligned with company objectives.
Identification and prioritization of the highest-impact opportunities to drive performance, engagement, and differentiation through experimentation mindset.
Lead and collaborate with a strong Android and iOS engineering team.
Work closely with Design, Data, Marketing, Payments, CRM, and other product squads.
Balance speed, technical quality, and scalability.
Ensure strong release management and app store optimization practices.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Product Management within B2C digital products.
Proven experience building product for native Apps (Android, iOS).
Strong analytical mindset: you use product metrics, not vanity metrics, to define success. Funnels, cohorts, and conversion metrics are second nature; you can extract insights and drive decisions autonomously.
Deep understanding of native design and key optimization vs. Web mobile experience.
Solid understanding of experimentation frameworks (hypothesis, test, iterate, scale).
Ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams and at multiple levels of seniority.
Experience with analytics tools such as Amplitude, Databricks or Looker.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to bring clarity and alignment.
Bonus: technical background or experience in regulated industries (fintech, gaming, betting).
Experience optimizing applications for low-bandwidth, high-latency environments common across parts of Africa and/or Latin America.
