About the role

• Fullstack Engineer developing user-facing SaaS/API products for Kiln. Collaborating with multiple teams to build features and ensure security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
• Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products (Dashboard, Widget).
• Design, develop and implement new features :
• 70% frontend (e.g. using our design system to build new features or adding new components to it…).
• 30% backend (e.g. implement the transaction crafting part for a new protocol…).
• Participate in code review, test and CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance.
• Interact with customers for debugging purposes and product discovery.
• Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company).
• Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices.
• Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges.

Requirements

• +3 years of experience as Fullstack Engineer, designing, building, and deploying user-facing products.
• Proven TypeScript and React programming skills — professional experience in a production environment.
• +1 year of Web3 experience, building dApps using libraries such as Wagmi and Viem.
• Familiar with software development best practices (Test, CI/CD, DevOps, Security…).
• Previous experience collaborating in a team-based development environment (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving sessions).
• Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
• Ability to balance between impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven interest in Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency - with solid understanding of protocols, staking, and DeFi.
• Fluent in English.
• Nice-to-have:
• Familiar with Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contracts.
• Knowledge on how to craft raw blockchain transactions.
• Backend PHP/Laravel programming skills.
• Experience in a fast-growing, early-stage startup.
