About the role
- Senior Consultant implementing SAP S/4HANA CO solutions at Kennametal. Leading configuration, testing, and business stakeholder collaboration in complex financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing, enhancing, and supporting CO sub-modules, cost planning, product costing, COPA, Material Ledger, and manufacturing scenarios such as MTO and MTS.
- Deep functional knowledge and ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
- Hands-on involvement in configuration, testing, data migration, and cutover activities.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of SAP CO hands-on experience
- Strong S/4HANA CO knowledge
- Experience in:
- • Cost Center Accounting
- • Product Costing
- • Material Ledger & Actual Costing and Closing cockpits
- • Internal Orders Accounting, Budgeting, Settlements etc.
- • COPA (Account-based)
- • Cost Allocations
- • Parallel valuations
- • MTO / MTS manufacturing scenarios
- • Material valuations - LIFO or FIFO
- Strong understanding of allocations, settlements, and variances
- Good knowledge of FI-CO integration
- Experience in integration with MM, SD, and PP modules.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Technical Tools & Activities
- Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, PI/PO, CPI) for interface issues and enhancements.
- Hands-on experience with LSMW for data migration.
- Experience in cutover planning and execution.
- Knowledge of interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs) between SAP and external systems (banking, third-party applications, etc.)
- Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot background jobs related to financial postings, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros preferred).
- Minimum of 2 end-to-end SAP implementation or rollout projects.
- Experience in support and enhancement projects.
- Exposure to migration projects and reconciliation activities.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or IT (MBA/CA/ICWA preferred).
