About the role

  • Director Order Management leading a team handling operational responsibilities for industrial heat exchangers. Overseeing planning process and customer relations in Sarstedt, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Order Management team at the Sarstedt site (5 direct reports, 21 indirect reports)
  • Act as the interface to Sales, Production Planning and the R&D/Development department
  • Responsibility for and implementation of the planning process - SIOP
  • Customer contact regarding delivery dates and product specifications — serving particularly as an escalation point
  • Preparation of the weekly sales forecast
  • Operational responsibility for sales and order intake
  • Member of the site management team

Requirements

  • University degree in a technical field (e.g., Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
  • Several years of leadership experience in Order Management or Sales
  • Excellent communication skills — including the ability to handle conflict situations
  • Creativity in developing technical or commercial solutions
  • Knowledge of contract law
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Good SAP (SD module) knowledge as well as Microsoft 365
