About the role

  • Industrial Engineer analyzing and designing operations to enhance efficiencies in aerospace manufacturing. Collaborating on production processes and optimizing product flow in Kinston, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts
  • Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimization of product flow
  • Maintain Action Tracker and drive the team for closure of the actions
  • Requesting operations team for Quality Gate details
  • Representing Operations team in handover meetings
  • Identifying part / material shortages ahead to reduce the impact to factory
  • Modify SAP according to Travel work and maintain documentation
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
  • Develops and implements optimized product flow
  • Assist facilities engineers in planning and design of facilities
  • Develops and provides time standards to the shop floor as well as standard work for operations and processes
  • Utilizes analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization as well as line balancing
  • Performs trend analysis of shop performance measures (KPI) to identify risk and opportunities for improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 -5 years of experience in an engineering classification / position
  • Experience in an Aircraft or Aerospace Manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of IE tools used in production ie: capacity analysis, facility layout, and production improvements
  • Microsoft Office - advanced skill level
