About the role

• Python Backend & DevOps Engineer developing robust applications and infrastructure in a FinTech startup. Collaborating closely with teams using Docker and Kubernetes in Leipzig office.

Responsibilities

• You develop our backends with Python and build robust, intelligent solutions that make our products better every day.
• You run our applications on Kubernetes and ensure they are stable, secure and available at all times.
• You work with Docker and CI/CD to build an infrastructure that allows us to bring new ideas live quickly and easily.
• Automation is key for you to implement tasks efficiently and reliably.
• You are involved in new projects from the start, proactively contribute ideas, experiment with new technologies, and actively help shape our direction.
• You will experience short decision paths, direct communication and real collaboration — and you’ll have the freedom not only to implement ideas but also to initiate them.

Requirements

• You have 2–3 years of experience in software development with Python.
• You have strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes and know how to operate applications reliably.
• You have initial experience with CI/CD pipelines and understand how they accelerate development.
• You have very good German skills and good English skills to communicate confidently within the team and on projects.
• You are curious, proactive and enjoy trying new technologies and continuing your professional development.
• Cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP) or experience with Rancher is a plus.
