About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments and assist during surgical procedures as part of an interdisciplinary operating room team
- Provide support to surgeons

- Independently prepare surgical documentation
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, anesthesia and OR assistant staff, and nursing professionals
- Intensive hands-on training directly in the operating room, complemented by theoretical instruction
- Practical placements in the medical device reprocessing unit, emergency department/ambulatory care, anesthesia, endoscopy/cardiac catheterization lab, and a nursing internship
Requirements
- Upper secondary school leaving certificate (Abitur), technical college entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife), intermediate secondary school certificate (Mittlere Reife) or an equivalent completed school education, or a completed vocational training of at least two years, or a state-recognized nursing helper/assistant qualification
