About the role
- Preconstruction Manager at Jupiter Power overseeing development to construction of energy storage projects. In charge of contractor selection, permitting, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Establish relationships with EPC contractors and Engineers of Record (EOR).
- Work with the construction and execution teams on contractor selection.
- Support permitting efforts.
- Engage with engineering and permitting consultants to develop deliverables needed for permitting.
- Coordinate the efficient handoff of development items to construction team, including but not limited to: permitting conditions, contractual obligations, landowner agreements, technology assumptions, EPC contractor negotiations, etc.
- Work with origination team to respond to offtake opportunities and formal requests for proposals.
- Take the lead on discussing construction and engineering subjects in town halls, open houses, permit application meetings, and other public meetings.
- Manage preconstruction team to provide support to developers and construction teams.
- Review contract language and negotiate contract terms with EPC Contractors.
- Ensure that EPC Contractor and supplier obligations match offtake opportunity requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years in the energy or construction industries, preferably working with the development and construction of renewable facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction field
- Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with varied interests and backgrounds.
