About the role

  • Counselor leading dynamic group therapy sessions for addiction recovery. Engaging with members to foster a positive recovery-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 2–3 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum
  • Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities
  • Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches
  • Monitor member progress and document outcomes
  • Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members
  • Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active behavioral health licensure in Virginia including but not limited to: LPC, LCSW, CSAC, LSATP, LMFT and associate level status with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states
  • Minimum two years leading groups in a SUD setting
  • High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
