About the role
- Technical Sales Application Engineer working with German clients in energy solutions at Landis+Gyr. Involved in technical support, client presentations, and product management in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Extended technical support for German customers across the entire German electricity portfolio
- Perform technical clarifications as part of order and procurement processes
- Develop complex, customer-specific technical configurations and concepts and coordinate them with customers
- Support the sales team with comprehensive technical portfolio know-how — from pre-sales to after-sales — including preparing and delivering customer presentations
- Clarify proposals, including analysis of large tenders, gap analyses, and creation or evaluation of device and software specifications
- Conduct in-depth technical analyses related to technical questions
- Support technical product management with requirements and product launches
- Represent Landis+Gyr externally in technical matters to German customers, e.g., at trade fairs, industry events, or standards committees
- Coordinate technical collaborations with partners
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Requirements
- Completed technical university degree, ideally with a focus on metering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
- At least five years of professional experience in a technical environment
- Proven experience in technical sales, technical support, system engineering, or product management
- Technical knowledge in embedded systems hardware/firmware, IoT, or communications technology
- Knowledge of metering is an advantage
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style

- Effective collaboration with European teams and professional handling of European customers
