Field Application Engineer supporting high-tech products and customer service in industrial measurements at Vaisala. Working independently on technical challenges and collaboration with sales and R&D teams.
Responsibilities
You will be part of our Field Service team.
Together with the team, you play a key role in improving the reliability and quality of our high-tech products.
In this role, you will perform software installation and configuration, validation, calibration, and mapping.
You will be working in close co-operation with our sales team, R&D professionals, and customers.
Domestic travelling in Sweden is expected in this role as most of your working time will be spent in customer locations.
To enable us to better support the wider team, occasional travel within Europe will also be required.
When not working on customer sites, you will work from your home office.
In this role, you will report to Field Service Manager, EMEA.
Installing Vaisala software and hardware
System configuration
Customer training
Execution of IQOQ protocols
Mapping
On-site calibration of various sensors
Customer technical support
Contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes
Requirements
Education background in Engineering, IT or Metrology
Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role
Proven experience in customer service
Proactiveness and self-directed way of working, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage own work independently
A basic understanding of calibration is a plus
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally within Europe
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Swedish and in English
Valid Driver’s License
