About the role

  • Temporary Corporate Paralegal providing quality legal support to the General Counsel at Landis+Gyr. Supporting various corporate legal matters and projects within a global company in energy management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full executive support to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, including various approvals, travel, presentations, and scheduling.
  • Support other Legal Team members with administrative tasks and document filings/housekeeping.
  • Support on transformational strategic projects of Landis+Gyr group, e.g. due diligence preparation, documents drafting and project coordination; ensure progress tracking; legal project office.
  • Draft and revise group policies.
  • Coordinate Legal Team projects and initiatives, ensuring progress tracking and documentation.
  • Support on board and committee meetings preparation – logistic and documents drafting, uploading etc.
  • Manage all vendor relationships, subscriptions, onboarding, invoice processing, and procurement escalations.
  • Support Legal Tech tools (matter management, e-billing).
  • Optimize and maintain electronic files, records, and contract repositories for accessibility and organization.
  • Coordinate team meetings, agendas, offsites, workshops, and internal events.
  • Handle internal stakeholder requests and coordinate with legal team members.
  • Coordinate authentications and notarizations (incl. apostilles) and organize signatures.
  • Follow up on working items with external law firms and service providers.
  • Support legal budget management, including spend tracking, accruals, and reporting.
  • Support the introduction of a contract management system.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in corporate legal matters, either in a legal department or a law firm.
  • Law degree or paralegal training.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of diligence, legal precision, and care.
  • Fluent oral and written in English.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive team player with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Natural problem-solving ability, with commercial curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability in advancing projects.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, multi-jurisdictional, and cross-cultural environment with cultural sensitivity.
