About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated team developing and reviewing contractors comprehensive safety management plans
- Undertake safety assurance activities and contractor audits
- Drive proactive risk management by guiding contractors to identify, investigate and resolve safety issues
- Oversee and review critical safety documentation including Safety Management Plans and operational manuals
- Provide expert technical advice on bus and depot safety
- Champion safety innovation through best-practice initiatives that exceed compliance requirements
Requirements
- Proven bus safety experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of WH&S legislation and Codes of Practice
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Experience in Design & Construct (D&C) projects
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated safety management expertise in construction environments
- Ability to translate complex safety requirements into practical solutions
