About the role
- Senior Manager Legal providing high quality legal services to Transport for NSW and other agencies. Managing privacy, regulatory compliance, investigations, and administrative law matters.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, high value, timely and solutions-focused legal services and independent advice to Transport for NSW and other agencies in the Transport portfolio principally in the areas of privacy, regulatory compliance, investigations, prosecutions, and administrative law
- provide legal advice to Transport in relation to privacy impacts and compliance, legislation and supporting governance
Requirements
- at least six years’ PQE demonstrated experience working with a high degree of autonomy in forming legal views and providing expert legal services
- elevated standard of integrity and professional conduct
- advanced written and verbal communication skills to convey legal concepts clearly and succinctly as well as influence effectively
- knowledge of Government regulatory frameworks (experience in the government sector is not required if confident in applying legislation in a variety of contexts)
- essential to hold a current practicing certificate in NSW.
