About the role

  • Senior Engineer specializing in power and energy systems, influencing compliance and reliability within Transport for NSW. Leading initiatives on asset management for battery and charging systems.

Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on the engineering and asset management of power and energy systems, with a speciality in battery and charging systems, power quality and energy management.
  • Provide technical oversight and support to internal and external stakeholders to improve the safety, compliance, reliability of power and energy systems
  • Provide technical advice and inputs to policies, strategies, plans, standards and the like to achieve intended outcomes
  • Drive continual improvement in power and energy outcomes through monitoring, analysis, change leadership and engagement with partners
  • Ensure asset management, governance, planning and assurance decisions are aligned with Transport requirements.

Requirements

  • expertise in cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders from multiple disciplines (e.g. engineering, commercial, operations, maintenance etc) to improve engineering and asset management outcomes
  • aptitude for driving continual improvement, navigating competing interests and providing balanced advice that considers factors beyond pure engineering
  • experience in monitoring and analysing asset data and developing evidence-based solutions to improve outcomes across the asset lifecycle.
  • Senior Engineer with an electrical engineering degree and experience delivering outcomes for battery and charging systems, power quality and energy management.
