About the role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and directing the Operations Department for Electrical and Control Engineering in mine gas operations
- Planning, ensuring compliance with, and reporting on repair budgets
- Preparing technical specifications for various plants, components and systems in instrumentation, control and metering technology
- Ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations, taking mining law into account
- Conducting training and professional development for staff
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Measurement & Control (MSR)/Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or comparable qualification with many years of professional experience
- Equivalent vocational qualification as a master electrician (Elektromeister) or technician
- Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and control technology (MSR), metering technology and experience handling gas and explosion protection
- Strong process understanding, confident demeanor, and an independent, structured working style
- Knowledge of various guidelines and standards (in particular DIN, DIN EN, VDI, DVGW, BBergG)
- Basic knowledge of PLC technology and programming as well as analytical techniques (CH4, CO2, O2)
- Proficient use of SAP S/4HANA systems and common Office applications
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties (after familiarization)
- Class B driver’s license
