About the role

  • Quality Assurance Officer responsible for training quality assurance and assessments at IOSH. Reporting to Quality and Standards Partner to uphold training delivery standards.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for assessment and quality assurance of our training providers, and the training they deliver, in accordance with established criteria and national standards.
  • Reporting to the Quality and Standards Business Partner, you will be assessing our IOSH direct delivery courses, undertaking specific quality checks, and providing constructive feedback, in the form of written reports, but on occasion, verbally to aid understanding.
  • This is a key role at IOSH and the opportunity to really shape the delivery of our services to our end users as well as enhancing and improving our Quality Framework.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of assessment, training and auditing principles
  • To have pragmatic & solution focussed problem-solving skills to find innovative solutions where appropriate and the courage and ability to challenge practices where necessary by alerting your manager.
  • Able to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders and staff.
  • Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment or Equivalent or Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or Equivalent
  • Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification or Equivalent
