About the role

  • Consultant FPGA Design developing and integrating FPGA-based applications at INVENSITY. Involves hardware and embedded software development in interdisziplinären Projektteams.

Responsibilities

  • Design complex FPGA-based applications as well as in adjacent areas of electronics and hardware development
  • Oversee the entire system: from hardware description (HDL) through embedded software to integration into electronic assemblies and control units (ECUs)
  • Develop applications both as bare-metal implementations and using embedded operating systems (e.g., PetaLinux)
  • Write embedded software and the corresponding drivers for your hardware functions
  • Implement and test your solutions in product and hardware development
  • Evaluate technical parameters such as timing, signal behavior, resource usage, real-time performance, and system stability
  • Expand your expertise in the FPGA domain as well as in adjacent hardware areas (e.g., digital circuit design, PCB design & layout, hardware verification & test, ECU development)
  • Work in interdisciplinary project teams across hardware, software and system development, supporting our projects through all phases

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems or a comparable field
  • Solid experience in FPGA development and/or hardware development, and openness to adjacent hardware areas (e.g., ASIC/SoC, digital circuit design, hardware verification & test)
  • Knowledge of HDL development, PetaLinux, AXI bus architecture, PS/PL interfacing and clocking strategies
  • Experience with Vivado, Vitis or comparable toolchains
  • Preferably practical experience in circuit design, PCB layout/testing and hardware verification
  • Desirable: experience with tools such as Altium Designer or ZUKEN CR-8000
  • Business-fluent German and fluent English
