About the role

  • Digital Dental CAD Designer responsible for high-quality CAD designs for dental restorations. Collaborating with teams and ensuring design accuracy and quality for Argen’s products.

Responsibilities

  • Design dental restorations including frameworks, full-contour crowns, bridges, removable partial dentures (RPDs), dentures, and implant abutments using CAD software, primarily 3Shape Dental Systems.
  • Review and interpret customer prescriptions, digital scans, and case requirements to produce restorations that meet clinical and technical specifications.
  • Communicate professionally with customers via phone, email, and Argen’s digital portal to clarify design requirements and resolve case-specific questions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure optimal design outcomes and consistent quality standards.
  • Adhere to established workflows, production timelines, and quality control procedures to support prompt and accurate case delivery.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable regulatory, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Perform self-inspection and verification of designs prior to release to manufacturing.
  • Ensure designs are optimized for downstream manufacturing processes (milling, printing, finishing).
  • Make design revisions and corrections based on internal quality review, customer feedback, or remake requests.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation, version control, and design records within applicable systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of dental CAD design experience is required, or completion of a dental technology, CAD/CAM, or related technical training program.
  • Proven, hands-on experience actively designing dental restorations in a production environment using 3Shape Dental Systems, or formal training on the use of 3Shape Dental Systems, required.
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of Exocad design software preferred.
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation a plus.
  • Basic understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and dental terminology.
  • Dental laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to follow standardized workflows, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to learn, accept feedback, and make design revisions as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards in a production-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
