Regional Staff Engineer responsible for planning and building infrastructure at Intel's sites in EMEA. Manage projects, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Setting strategic regional facilities engineering direction for buildings, assets and systems to ensure compliance, robust system capacity management, business continuity plans, best operational efficiency and life cycle cost without interruption to business operations across multiple sites.
Subject matter expertise to apply deep technical knowledge in mechanical/Building facilities engineering or more engineering domains to support site facilities teams and outsourced vendor teams to achieve strategic engineering objectives across Quality, Cost, Safety, Environmental and Net Zero pillars.
Collaborate with Intel and IFM vendor cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control, and technology platforms to troubleshoot and drive results. Innovate new processes and procedures within the engineering domain. Lead operational audits and develop improvement plans.
Project management which may include best practices such as Gantts, kickoff, status monitoring, Performance against Schedule /tracking, resource allocation, priorities/CSI's, project changes/contingency planning, proactive risk reduction, lesson's learned, portfolio management, incident management and problem management. Lead investigations, carry out root cause analysis and after-action reviews following interrupts to business/service or safety/compliance events as and when required.
Partner with peer AMR and ASIA staff engineers to drive global programs. Mentor site teams to advance technical competencies.
Manage regional capital investment roadmap and funding coordination project delivery. Drive life-cycle cost approach to plan for facilities systems capacity, compliance and business unit needs. Support project management activities including lab fit-up and office retrofit projects as and when required.
Develop and maintain the regional Energy Management program aligned with ISO 50001 standards. Deliver and report on energy, sustainability, and net zero goals. Lead teams to embed energy efficiency and best practices. Analyze energy use and enable project implementation. Drive robust utilities infrastructure. Support utilities forecasting and cost control in collaboration with purchasing and utility companies. Understand Energy Efficiency regulations and compliance requirements.
Ensure safety, reliability, quality, environmental, and cost objectives are met. Review construction designs for energy efficiency and develop business continuity plans for energy supply disruptions.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or similar discipline with over 10 years of experience in facility management involving multidisciplinary systems.
Demonstrated engineering problem-solving abilities, teamwork, collaboration, and clear oral and written communication skills.
Previously led engineering teams for mechanical, electrical, and chemical disciplines, providing guidance and supervision. Certified Professional Engineer with design experience.
Proficiency with leading Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo and Building Management Systems (BMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in data analysis tools including Microsoft excel, PowerBI or Tableau and SQL, Statistical tools such as R or JMP. Also ability to maximise tools such as SharePoint, Teams to drive cross site programmatic success.
Strong communication skills to convey strategic and tactical concepts across varied audiences including engineers, technicians, and management.
Expertise on facilities engineering and compliance needs for relevant building codes, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements as they relate to Office buildings, Data Centers, Labs and factory buildings.
Be a self-starter and team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills and a flexible attitude to problem-solving and goal setting.
