Responsibilities
Lead a small team of 1–3 actuarial analysts while serving as both technical and project lead.
Contribute to executing key actuarial objectives by actively participating in hands-on work, providing technical advice to team members, ensuring the quality of their work, and formulating appropriate recommendations to improve the performance of products and services.
Manage the evaluation, development and coaching of their team members to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
Manage their team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget planning.
Represent the actuarial function in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with other business units.
Requirements
University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Job-specific designation: Mathematics, Actuarial Science, FCAS or FCIA an asset.
Minimum of 5 years experience, including 1 year of coaching (major asset).
Strong technical skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques.
Bilingualism is required for candidates located in Quebec considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
