Responsibilities
Open new claims by phone with clients
Collect insureds’ and/or witnesses’ statements of the facts
Determine whether the loss is covered by analyzing the required policy coverages
Analyze the information obtained, determine liability, and review damage estimates
Settle claims fairly and equitably, validate damages, and process payments
Requirements
Claims adjuster license and successful completion of required exams
Relevant experience for the role
Strong time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
Bilingual (French and English), with the ability to regularly handle claims files for English-speaking clients
